Domus RomanaThe Archaeological Site Roman Domus “House of the Child on Dolphin” was unearthed and opened to the public in 2012 in the center of Lucca. They are visible walls and Roman items (I cent. BC), Lombard, medieval and Renaissance, with friezes, pets and votive objects. In one room you can see the evolution of construction techniques took place over 2000 years of history of the City.
Between Roman and Renaissance times walls, during the visit or during banquets and tastings, in particularly fascinating atmosphere, made even more attractive by original soundtracks and theme movies, you can relive the history of Lucca and enjoy delicacies of its ancient culture.
Reproductions of some found objects can be purchased at the Showcase of Antica Domus. The Domus Romana offers the opportunity to learn about the history of Lucca and spend pleasant moments in a particularly charming, exclusive and welcoming.
